Ms. Watson practices in the areas of business and corporate law and in estate planning, probate and guardianship. In corporate and business law, she represents local and national businesses, including those closely-held, and often as general counsel to companies. She handles a wide range of corporate and business issues involving acquiring and disposing of ownership interests and assets, risk management, entity structure, succession planning, intellectual property, employment, real estate and other legal issues that arise in the operation of business.
In estate planning and probate, Ms. Watson represents clients in the protection and transfer of assets and other planning; with the preparation, review and modification of wills, trusts, powers of attorney and other instruments; and with probate proceedings, estate administration, and guardianship issues. She also serves as a court-appointed attorney ad litem for proposed wards and unknown heirs in estate and guardianship proceedings.
