Erika L. Bruce

About

Ms. Bruce’s practice covers purchases and sales of real estate, commercial leasing, real estate development, and financing related to real estate. She represents and counsels owners, investors, landlords, tenants, and developers in a wide variety of complex transactions including ground up development of shopping centers, negotiating office, retail, and industrial leases with local and national tenants, and easements, covenants, conditions and restrictions agreements.

Ms. Bruce also helps structure and negotiate property management agreements, construction contracts with contractors, development agreements with developers and buyers/tenants, and owner-architect agreements with architects.

In acquisitions and sales, she represents developers, investors, institutions, and other privately held buyers and sellers in the acquisition, sale, exchange, and financing of improved and unimproved real estate. These transactions involve office, retail, multifamily, single-family, industrial, mixed-use projects, and raw land including structuring and documenting ground leases.

While in law school, Ms. Bruce was an associate editor of the St. Mary’s Law Journal. She is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.   Ms. Bruce was selected as a Texas Rising Star (Super Lawyer), Texas Monthly Magazine (2007, 2008, 2009); and a D Magazine Best Lawyers in Dallas (2018).
