About

Mr. Coke practice areas in the firm’s business, estate planning and litigation sections.  He is currently licensed to practice law before the Supreme Court of the United States, the Supreme Court of Texas and all state courts of the State of Texas, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas and the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th and 11th Circuits.  Mr. Coke is additionally licensed to practice law before the U.S. Tax Court. Mr. Coke was an organizer of the American National Bank of Plano, having served as a Member of the Board of Directors and as Chairman of the Executive Committee.  He has an active involvement in civic matters having served as Chairman of the Board/Dallas Arboretum, a Member of the Board of Directors of the Dallas Arboretum Foundation, Chairman of the Board/North Dallas Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of the Board/North Dallas Chamber of Commerce Foundation, a Member of the Advisory Board to the Communities Foundation of Dallas, President Dallas County Republican Men’s Club and a Member of the Board of Directors of Family Outreach of Greater Dallas, Inc., the Botanical Research Institute of Texas and the Dallas Historical Society.

Mr. Coke has received various awards such as the “Headliner” Award – Dallas Press Club Foundation, the Founders Award presented by the Women’s Council of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden, Award of Excellence for Board Leadership presented by The Center for Non-Profit Management, the Community Service Award for Excellence in Leadership of the Arts presented by the Dallas Historical Society, the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Society, and the George Washington Honor Medal Presented by the Freedoms Foundation of Valley Forge.

Mr. Coke is currently Director Emeritus of the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Society, Inc.  and serves on the President’s Council of the George W. Bush Foundation and the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. He is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation.

He is a native of Dallas and has practiced in Texas for the duration of his law practice.
