About
Mr. Burdette is a probate and fiduciary litigator who handles trust and estate litigation and guardianship disputes. Mr. Burdette has an extensive background in business and insurance litigation, which provides a unique skill set that benefits his clients in probate and trust disputes. Brad represents individuals who need help enforcing their rights, whether against an executor or trustee who has acted improperly and breached fiduciary duties, or in efforts to protect a family member through a guardianship proceeding.
Mr. Burdette’s peers recognized his talent and experience when naming him a “Rising Star” in the Texas Monthly magazine polls. Recently, through nomination by peers, Brad was selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® 2021 in the field of Commercial Litigation.
Representative Experience
- Represented at trial a charitable organization contesting a will and a Transfer on Death beneficiary designation based on lack of testamentary capacity and undue influence
- Obtained $16.5 million judgment for client based on causes of action for aiding and abetting breach of fiduciary duty and tortious interference with contract
- Obtained a take nothing judgment for individual and equity investment company in hospital development dispute involving alleged breach of fiduciary duties
- Obtained six-figure award of 100% of actual damages sought by client in arbitration involving accounting issues
- Obtained a take nothing judgment for individual in business dispute over ownership of company
