Mr. Brannan has represented clients in matters across Texas and throughout the country. His areas of concentration include administrative law, business law, general counsel services, governmental law, labor and employment, insurance, legislative law, litigation, and regularly law.

His prior experience includes more than a decade in the executive branch of Texas state government. A three-time gubernatorial appointee, Ryan was appointed by both Governors Rick Perry and Greg Abbott to be the Commissioner of Workers’ Compensation at the Texas Department of Insurance. Prior to his appointments, he served as an advisor to Governor Perry on a wide range of policy and budgetary issues including insurance, public health, tort reform, gaming, land use, eminent domain, and other business-related matters.

Apart from his law practice, Ryan is a successful lobbyist outside the firm, and his success for clients during the recently concluded 86th Legislative Session is widely known in and around the Capitol.
